CENTRAL GROUP and the organiser of the MISS Czech Republic contest arranged a traditional gala evening, which was held on the 9th February 2010 at the Municipal House in Prague. The main programme consisted of Lucie Bílá’s concert, the handing over of a charitable gift and the grand fashion show of the Diamond collection by Czech fashion designer Natali Ruden. Guests of the gala evening were taken through the evening by presenter Leoš Mareš.

MISS Czech Republic and the Slovakian beauty pageant will organize MISS Czech-Slovakia 2010 together in April
A live transmission of the first year of the entirely new international contest of MISS Czech-Slovakia 2010 will be broadcast by both Czech and Slovak Broadcasting Corporations on the evening of the 10th April. The girls competing within this contest will be from both the Czech and Slovak Republics. They will be the Miss and Runner-Up Miss from the last three years of the Czech and Slovak beauty pageants. There will be a total of 12 girls, six from each country.
MISS Czech Republic will have its own prestigious sparkling wine
A specialist committee selected the exclusive sparkling wine of MISS Czech Republic at the production premises of the Bohemia Sekt Centre on Thursday, 21st January 2010, from several cuveé. Bohemia Sekt is the most significant producer of sparkling wine in the Czech Republic and has become a traditional and integral part of important celebrations, meetings and social and cultural events, which naturally includes the MISS Czech Republic contest.
The Miss girls spent January on a luxurious holiday in Egypt
Whilst the Czech Republic was enjoying snow, Lucie Smatanová, 1st Runner-up Miss Czech Republic 2009 and Hana Věrná, 2nd Runner-up Miss Czech Republic 2009 headed to a warmer climate. They won the holiday at a luxurious hotel in the Miss Czech Republic contest. The girls arrived from their holiday last week and immediately shared their experiences with us.
Return from Rally Dakar
The plane from Buenos Aires with Miss Czech Republic 2009, Aneta Vignerová, and the president of the contest, Taťána Kuchařová on board arrived at Ruzyně Airport in the evening hours of Monday, 4th January. The last seven days the girls had spent together on the Rally Dakar. Apart from welcoming in the New Year in Buenos Aires, they had also covered a distance of over 1.000 kilometres in an accompanying car and spent their time there under the same conditions as other participants of the rally, for instance sleeping in a tent and showering only with cold water.

President of the Miss Czech Republic contest, Taťána Kuchařová, and Miss Czech Republic 2009 Aneta Vignerová, festively started off the individual crews of the Czech Dakar Team at Rally Dakar. The opening ceremony took place at the famous Plaza de la República Square in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on the 1st January 2010 and was viewed by more than 600 thousand spectators. The first stage to the town of Colón was only an opening stage. For the rally proper, the Rally Dakar was launched on the 2nd January when drivers were faced by the route to Córdoba ahead of them. The girls took part in those two stages in an accompanying car but left the Czech Dakar Team in Córdoba and are returning to the Czech Republic. They will still support the Czech crews.
Aneta Vignerová left for Rally Dakar
Miss Czech Republic 2009 Aneta Vignerová and president of the contest Taťána Kuchařová left for Buenos Aires in the early hours of 28th December to support the Czech national colours at the international motoring event of the Rally Dakar. Apart from being present at the opening of the event, Aneta and Taťána will also take part in the first stage of the rally, the run through to Cordoba.
Miss Czech Republic 2009 has returned from Miss World
MISS Czech Republic 2009 Aneta Vignerová returned to the Czech Republic from the international beauty contest of Miss World on Monday, 14th December. This year, being the 59th year, was held in Johannesburg and won by the girl from Gibraltar. Aneta has acquired a lot of experience and also travelled the world quite a bit. She visited cities such as London, Abu Dhabi, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Soweto and on the way home she also spent a few hours in Istanbul.

The 59th final’s evening of the most prestigious worldwide beauty pageant Miss World was held on the 12th December 2009. Aneta Vignerová, Miss Czech Republic 2009, was fighting for this title together with a further 111 contestants in South Africa’s Johannesburg.
5 days until the Miss World 2009 Final
After several days spent in Cape Town, the Miss World finalists returned to Johannesburg exactly one week before the Miss World Final commencing on the 12th December 2009 at 5 p.m. in South African Johannesburg.
Miss Czech Republic 2008 Zuzana Jandová in fourth place in Duets
Miss Czech Republic 2008 Zuzana Jandová and singer Petr Kotvald were in fourth place in the Duets…When Stars are Singing contest. As for the committee, they were the overall winners of the Saturday round but this was as far as they got as viewers didn’t let them proceed any further. Zuzana Jandová finds fourth place to be a huge success which she certainly didn’t expect at all at the beginning.
